What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a gentle, effective healing art that utilizes unique language to access the unconscious mind directly. When artfully and skillfully delivered Hypnotherapy place you in a heightened state of concentration and focused attention. In this state you are able to tap into the part of your brain where your thoughts, beliefs, emotions, perceptions, memories and behaviours originate. The Therapist may then use suggestions to help the person overcome negative beliefs or habits, such as anxiety, phobias, overeating, and smoking. Hypnotherapy is often used in conjunction with other forms of treatment to address a wide range of physical and emotional issues.

A Positive Mindset brings us more Positive Things and our Beliefs and Thoughts can help us to heal our body. Every thought effects our body. When our mind is sad our body cries and when our mind is happy our body thrives. Hypnotherapy helps you to change negative thought patterns and create the beliefs necessary to heal your body and mind.

How does Hypnotherapy Work?

One could argue that all Problems and Habits are created in a state of Hypnosis.

Consider that we naturally enter a hypnotic state numerous times daily. It’s a state we experience when we turn our attention inward. So, whenever you become absorbed in thought, daydream about your weekend plans, reminisce about a delightful vacation, focus on a hobby, worry about a project, or navigate a traumatic experience, you’re in a hypnotic state. Actually, learning frequently occurs within this state. Formal Hypnosis is just one way to tap into it.

Think of the child whose parents insisted on obedience without question, and disobeying resulted in negative consequences? As they mature into adults, they might be left struggling to say “no” to perceived authority figures or anyone else. They do not realize that at the time when they accepted the suggestion to obey and acted upon it several times they created an unconscious conditioned behavior that they continue to act upon into adulthood.

We create our own patterns and habits in a similar way when we repeatedly engage in a specific action or thought until we become unconsciously competent at it. This process often leads us to a state where we are not consciously aware of the pattern or habit.

Hypnosis Therapy allows us to access the pattern and add more helpful options to it. This empowers us to make better choices in our lives.

What to Expect during the Session?

All Hypnotherapy Sessions and Scripts are tailor made to create a personalized experience for YOU. The first session is an exploratory session where we will dig deeper into the problem that you wish to solve as well as delve into your likes and dislikes.

In most cases a personalized script will then be created and when ready an Online Hypnotherapy Session will be scheduled. On average sessions are 1 hour long.

During the Hypnotherapy Session we will begin by getting you into a deeply relaxed state and induce a light trance. This state may appear similar to sleep in many ways. Once in a deep state of focus and relaxation we will begin the journey to your happy place and the true transformation can begin. During this part of the journey you will be given artful guided suggestions in the form of analogies and metaphors designed to help you achieve your therapeutic goals. Once the journey is complete you will slowly return back to your wakeful state feeling energized and relaxed.
